ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Wednesday said those PML-N lawmakers, who did not attend the National Assembly session intentionally to reject the anti-Nawaz Sharif bill, should face strict disciplinary action.
During an informal interaction with reporters, he said some party MNAs did not appear in Lower House of the Parliament for the all-important vote on Tuesday. Some of them did inform about the reasons for their absence but those who didn’t must face disciplinary action, he added. “It is better toget rid of those who opted not to back the party cause,” the railways minister stressed.
He said Asif Ali Zardari should heed on the advice of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, adding that accepting the advice of Bilawal would be beneficial. Saad said he paid hundreds of thousands of rupees as tax and had made progress gradually.
He said investigation should be carried out against him openly, but added, “Whatever is being done against [him] is not new.” He said he was watching all things closely, adding that no one could change him [his loyalties]. He said the Senate had yet to pass the delimitation bill.
