BAHAWALPUR: Peshawar, Gujranwala, Lahore, AJK and Islamabad won their respective matches of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T20 Blind Cricket Trophy being held at Multan and Bahawalpur on Friday.
In the five matches decided on Friday Peshawar beat Quetta by 226 runs in first encounter at the Shafqaat Academy Multan Cantt. Peshawar batted first and posted 273/5 in 20 overs. Mohsin Khan made 118. Muhammad Shahid took 2 wickets.
In reply Quetta, made only 47 runs in 8.3 overs. Mohsin Khan bowled well to claim 5 wickets. Asif took 2 wickets. Man of the Match award was given to Mohsin Khan. Gujranwala defeated Abbottabad by 10 wickets at the Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. Abbottabad scored 159 for the loss of 4 wickets. Riasat Khan was their top scorer with 76. Naeem Ullah made unbeaten 59*. In reply, Gujranwala reached the target without loss in 11.5 overs. Muhammad Akram scored unbeaten 107 and Attiqur Rehman unbeaten 30. Man of the Match was Muhammad Akram.
Lahore beat Okara by six runs at Kanday Wala Cricket Ground Multan. Lahore set the huge total of 268 runs. Kamran Akhter played brilliantly to score 123. Mati Ullah chipped in with 62. In reply, Okara fought well but eventually fell 6 runs short of the target. Okara made 262 runs without any loss in allotted quota of 20 overs. Badar Munir made unbeaten 183. Faseeh Ullah made unbeaten 59. Kamran Akhter was named the player of the match.
Bahawalpur moved past PBCC Young Star by eight wickets at Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. PBCC Young Star made 98 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. Ehtisham made 29. Bahawalpur reached home with ease in 7 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. M Rashid and M Ejaz made 31 not out and 26* runs respectively. Rashid was the man of the match.
Azad Kashmir (AK) won against Faisalabad by 146 runs at the Dring Stadium Bahawalpur. Azad Kashmir set the mammoth total of 287 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. M Jameel was the star batsman of Azad Kashmir with 153

while Nisar Ali made 53. In reply, Faisalabad made 142 for the loss of 8 wickets. M Usman was the leading scorer with 56. Muhammad Jameel took 3 wickets. Man of the Match award went to M Jameel.
Islamabad prevailed over Multan by nine wickets at Shafqaat Cricket Academy Multan Cantt. Multan were bowled out for 105 in 15.2 overs. Rafiq was the highest scorer with 16. Shahzeb and Husnain took 2 wickets each . In reply Islamabad chased the target of 106 by losing 1 wicket in 8.5 overs. Yasir Andleeb made unbeaten 69. Man of the Match was Yasir Andleeb.
