LAHORE: Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has been listed as the top ranking company for the year 2013 by the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE).
A spokesperson for FFC said on Monday, this is the fourth time in a row that FFC has been named the top ranking company.
According to the Privatisation Commission of Pakistan and the Prime Minister’s committee that evaluated the performance of 69 state sector companies has concluded that the annual losses incurred by PSEs are more than Rs 500 billion.
However, tax contribution by FFC during the year 2013 was Rupees 43.5 billion, the tax paid from 2009 to 2013 was Rupees 142 billion whereas the aggregate tax contributions from its inception to the end of year 2013 were Rupees 247.9 billion.
The spokesperson said FFC offered 98 percent profit to shareholders. The FFC has been among the top 25 companies at the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) since 1994.
