According a report published inGulf Newsby Usman Ghafoor, because ofa curtain raiser onVernaprinted earlier in the year,Mansoorwas miffed by a story that mentioned “among other things, the film’s one-liner.”
Ghafoornoted in the piece: “Apparently,Mansoorwas so upset that he called everyone associated with the project and took them to task. He also told them in strong terms that they should not speak to the media directly. What’s more,Mansooreven started contemplatingre-shooting his film’s climax. Talk about being paranoid.”
While the decision to delay the film does belong toMansoor, ultimatelyit must be remembered that keeping a film’s plot shrouded in absolute secrecy is near impossiblein this day and age where everyone has Internet on theirsmartphone andthings tend to surface one way or another.
