The government says that the civilian-military leadership is on the same page over national security. There is a need for all political parties and the civil society to be on the same page as far as our national interests are concerned.
The government should form the National Security Council comprising the president, prime minister, army chief, leader of the opposition, four chief ministers, defence, foreign and interior ministers. All decisions taken by the council should be debated and endorsed by parliament.
