Shuja Haider has proven his love for theatrics with his productions on Coke Studio since the last two seasons and as it turns out, the singer-songwriter also has a solo music project in the pipeline, titled SOUNDSCAPE.
According to a press release, SOUNDSCAPE will be Pakistan’s first complete interactive live music series featuring some of the biggest names in Pakistan’s musical circle. The series will also be the first to introduce The Shuja Haider ensemble. The first edition of Haider’s live music concert series is scheduled to take place in November 2017.
The great thing is that the project will be curated and produced by Shuja Haider and will be held in multiple cities to reach many different people. We have recently seen projects like Patari’s Tabeer and Zohaib Kazi’s Fanoos do something similar and it always works in our favour when we are introduced to diversity in music.
This will also be a great boost for the music industry as it will contribute greatly to the recent revival of Pakistan’s concert culture, which had nearly died a few years ago thanks to terrorism and an unstable security situation.
