- The House (starring Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Ryan Simpkins, Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Jeremy Renner) - comedy; after spending their daughter’s college fund, a husband (Ferrell) and wife (Poehler) team up with their neighbours to start an illegal casino in their basement.

- Has a younger brother, and three older maternal half-siblings.
- Parents separated when she was eleven years old.
- Started dancing as a child.
- Appeared in the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and was recruited for the girl band Girls Aloud which was created by the show. Went on to have success with the pop outfit that released five albums before splitting up in 2013.
- Gained recognition outside the group after becoming a judge on the UK version of The X Factor (2008 - 2010, 2014 - 2015). Joined the US version of the show in 2011, but was dismissed after filming just two sets of auditions.
- Has since released four albums - 3 Words (2009), Messy Little Raindrops (2010), A Million Lights (2012) and Only Human (2014) - and is currently working on the fifth.
- Was married to England footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 to 2010, and French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini from 2014 to 2016. Is currently in a relationship with One Direction singer Liam Payne, with whom she has a son (born in March 2017).
