The rupee maintained stable trend against the dollar on Thursday due to persistent sluggish trading activities, dealers said. The rupee rose single paisa to 104.87 against the dollar in the interbank market from previous closing of 104.88. Dealers said a soft dollar demand from importers and companies supported the rupee to remain firm.
