Known for essaying Kashaf in Zindagi Gulzar Hai opposite Fawad Khan, film, TV and theatre actor Sanam Saeed is one of the strongest actors in the industry today. Aside from playing the protagonist in drama serial Dil Banjara, she also appeared in three big screen projects last year, namely Bachaana, Dobara Phir Se and Rahm.

Aside from playing the protagonist in drama serial Dil Banjara, she also appeared in three big screen projects last year, namely Bachaana, Dobara Phir Se and Rahm.
Having bagged the Best Supporting Actress trophy at the Geo-Lux Style Awards just last month, Saeed is flying high. While she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Cake which comes out later this year and features her alongside Adnan Malik and Aamina Sheikh, Saeed has picked up another award. She recently bagged the Eastern Eye Award for Film: Best Actress for her performance in Rahm at the Eastern Eye: Arts, Theatre & Culture Awards.
“It was a privilege and an honour to be a part of a platform that recognises and rewards the efforts and work of British South Asians in arts and culture,” Saeed shared with Instep. “Rahm was a British-Pakistani collaboration. I am grateful for the award and recognition.”
Held in London last weekend, the award ceremony also nominated Pakistani-Canadian actor Armeena Khan who was up for her performance in Janaan.
Coming back to Saeed, she played the protagonist in Rahm and is shown fighting for justice against corruption. The film is a dark tragedy based on William Shakespeare’s play Measure for Measure. Directed by Ahmed A. Jamal, Rahm also released in England, aside from Pakistan, on account of Shakespeare’s death anniversary.
