DALLAS: Pakistani American healthcare tycoon Dr. Hasan Hashmi and his son Faraz Hashmi have inaugurated a 40-million-dollar hospital in Bowie Texas after renovation.
The hospital which went through remodeling is opened for providing services to local population of Bowie Texas.
Hospital inauguration ceremony was also attended by its Chairman Dr. Hasan Hashmi, Mayor Mrs. Salma Hashmi,, Texas Gernal Hospital CEO Suleiman Hashmi , Marjan Pasha Hashmi and Attorney Haroon Hashmi, Nageen Hashmi,
The hospital’s emergency room, lab, X-ray and a small number of beds opened for service on April 6.
welcomed the guests saying they were excited, honored and humbled to be opening in a community that had “welcomed us with open arms.”
“We feel blessed, you have given us all the support we needed and the confidence for where we are going. We are a family-oriented organization and want this to be a community-centered place where every person in the city and county feel like this is their facility,” said Faraz Hashmi.
Faraz said they are excited to start providing medical care and they look forward to becoming an integral part of Bowie.

The hospital CEO Faraz Hashmi gave a tour of lab, X-ray, surgery and other departments of the hospital to guests and attendees of the ceremony. CEO Faraz Hashmi told the participant that this 53 years old hospital was closed for last two years, and residents had to travel for two hours to get to a hospital. Residents are very happy to hear the news of reopening of this hospital.
Faraz Hashmi said that currently it is 50 bed hospital but will be expanded to 150 beds in near future. This hospital will also provide a stimulus to local economy. Residents will not only get health services but will also find employment opportunities here.
Dr. Hasan F. Hashmi is chairman of the board of directors for Texas General Hospital, which operates two other hospitals in Texas .
Hospital administrator Annette Williams said that this hospital will provide high quality medical services and finest facility to residents.
Dr. Hasan F. Hashmi bought the hospital in March 2016. Hashmi and his sons, Faraz Hashmi and Suleman Hashmi operate Texas General Hospitals with facilities in Grand Prairie and Grand Saline.
