LAHORE: Suspended cricketer Khaid Latif filed his reply to PCB’s opening brief through his counsel Badar Alam on Friday.
The Anti-Corruption Tribunal that met at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, comprises Justice (Retd) Asghar Haider (chairman), Lt Gen (Retd) Tauqir Zia and Wasim Bari.
PCB was represented by Taffazul Rizvi.
Badar requested that better copies of certain pages of PCB’s Opening Brief be provided. Upon directions of the Tribunal, those were provided by PCB.
Taffazul later told media that Khalid had submitted his reply but he did not present any proof or witness to prove his innocence.
Rizvi further stated that he is only delaying the case.
“The PCB has solid proof against these players and only legal procedure is being adopted.
“We have provided all the players with the copies of the evidence,” he said and added that PCB had put no pressure on Khalid.
To a question, he said that the board had clear evidence, which could not be revealed to media.
Rizvi further stated that Nasir Jamshed had been summoned on May 12. He can have video chat on skype or video link along with his lawyer.
