The prime minister visited Jacobabad on Friday (Apr 14) and announced a one billion development package for the city. He promised to ensure the supply of clean and fresh drinking water, improve road infrastructure, provide 100 transformers and provide enough electric power to, at least, decrease loadshedding.

Women vocational training centres will be established and a health insurance card scheme will also be launched in the city. The medical treatment both in state-run and private hospitals will be provided free of cost. This will help improve the lifestyle of residents of Jacobabad. It is hoped that the government will fulfil its promise and ensure the timely completion of this project.
