Several months back, when news first broke that Ranbir Kapoor would essay Sanjay Dutt in an upcoming biopic by Rajkumar Hirani, we wondered if the casting call was the right one. After all, the physical difference between lanky Kapoor and well-built Sanjay Dutt is enormous. But weeks into training, Ranbir Kapoor has proven one and all wrong with his striking physical transformation. In new images that have emerged online, Kapoor sporting a moustache and short hair, he looks every bit like Dutt in his later years. In order to beef up for the role, Kapoor has put on 12 kilos. Not surprisingly, fans across the board are lauding the actor for his dedicated metamorphosis. Though the film is several months away from release, we can’t wait for this one to arrive in cinemas.
And while we are on the subject of beefing up for a performance, Kapoor’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil co-star Fawad Khan is also working hard for his upcoming role in Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jutt project. Khan has been working on his physique and has beefed up considerably for the role which requires him to be a muscled man. This dedication, in Khan’s case as well as Kapoor’s should pay off as fans are eager to see them appear in their respective projects.
