The praise for the actress extends beyond fans on both sides of the border. Her co-actors Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane, who made their Bollywood debuts earlier on with Raees and Sanam Teri Kasam respectively, are all praises for Qamar after watching the film’s trailer.
“Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar, what a combo!” Mahira tweeted adding, “Lots of love and luck. Oh and Saba Saba Saba shine on shine on shine on!” Mawra Hocane on the other hand expressed her love for the actress in these words, “Saba is shining. Too proud! Playing Khan’s wife in the film, Qamar looks impressive in the role. The two portray a middle-class couple who struggle to get their daughter admitted in an English medium school so that they can raise their standard of living. Hindi Medium talks about society’s biases when it comes to judging people on the basis of the language they speak.
Directed by Saket Chaudhary, the film is expected to release on May 12 this year.
