Sherpao seeks share for KP in NFC award

PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Sherpao on Thursday said that federal government should give Khyber Pakhtunkhwa its due share in the National Finance Commission (NFC) award to end the sense of deprivation of people of the province.

“The Centre should give provinces complete control over their natural resources,” Sherpao said while speaking at a public gathering here.

Ex-nazim Muhammad Shah along with relatives and supporters announced joining the QWP.QWP provincial chairman and Senior Minister Sikandar Sherpao and other party leaders were also present on the occasion, said a press release.

Aftab Sherpao welcomed the establishment of first hotline between Pakistan Army and Afghanistan National Army and hoped that it would help improve the situation.The QWP chief said that cordial relations between the two neighbours were not only in their interest but also essential for the peace and tranquility of the entire region.He believed that the enemies of Pakistan were hatching conspiracies to isolate the country in the region.
