KARACHI: Star allrounder Shahid Afridi is among the super fit players of Pakistan as he works hard on it despite his various other than sports activities.

According to his tweet he loves sweating hard in summer heat.

The tweet says: “Sweating hard in summer heat and loving it. Time to lose some extra pounds, working hard to attain super fitness. Never give up.”

In an interview with Saleem Safi in Jirga, aired at Geo News on Saturday, Afridi said that he has retired from international cricket but he is still fit and is playing league cricket.

He announced his retirement from international cricket on February 19, 2017 after playing 398 One-day Internationals, 98 Twenty20 Internationals and 27 Tests.

The former captain of the Pakistan national cricket team holds a record of taking most wickets (97) and most player-of-the match awards in Twenty20 International cricket.

He is known for his aggressive batting style, and previously held the record for the fastest ODI century in 37 deliveries. He also holds the distinction of having hit the most number of sixes in the history of ODI cricket.

Afridi considers himself a better bowler than batsman, and has taken 48Test wickets, and over 350 in ODIs and 97 in T20Is.

Afridi is a philanthropist and owner of the Shahid Afridi Foundation. In 2015, he was named among the top 20 most charitable athletes in the world by Do Something.
