“The FTA will bring down tariffs, remove other hurdles, and facilitate growth of bilateral trade,” Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, Suchart Liengsaengthong said during his visit to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).

The envoy, who was accompanying a Thai business delegation, appreciated the efforts of the government and armed forces for the restoration of peace, which subsequently boosted business activities especially foreign investment in Pakistan.

“The ICCI should also organise a delegation for Thailand as frequent interactions between businessmen of both countries were the way forward to know each other, build relations and explore areas of mutual cooperation,” Suchart said.

The leader of Thai delegation Wasun, in his address, said that Western media had created misperceptions about Pakistan due to which many Thai entrepreneurs were hesitant to visit Pakistan.
