DUBAI: Ireland won the tri-series in the United Arab Emirates, edging out Afghanistan and Scotland, as the final match of the tournament between Scotland and Ireland was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Monday.
Rain ruled out any possibility of play after Ireland won the toss and chose to field at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Ireland and Scotland picked up one point each from the match. That meant Ireland, with five points, were at the top of the table, having won two of the four games played.
Afghanistan finished second with four points after two wins. Scotland finished last with three points.
