KARACHI: Financial institutions must ensure that their consumers are being fairly treated, said Ashraf Wathra, Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday.
He was speaking at a seminar on financial consumer protection organised by the SBP under the auspices of SAARC Finance in Islamabad, a statement said.
The SBP governor emphasised that enhancing consumer protection in banks eventually promotes competition in the industry and it has positive linkages with financial stability and financial inclusion.
