Reconstruction of roads

The University Road in Karachi has been under construction since the last two months. Initially it seemed that the road was dug up to join it with the service road and allow more room for vehicular traffic, but now that one part of the road has been rebuilt, the assumption seems incorrect. One cannot understand the reason for the reconstruction of a normal functioning road.

The rebuilding of the road has caused a lot of inconvenience to people. Moreover, since the reason for it remains unknown, citizens remain frustrated. The construction work has also caused a lot of pollution in the city. There is no need to point out the obvious fact that the pace of construction work is extremely slow. A common citizen can only wish for the authorities to expedite the process and remove all forms of inconvenience that have been caused.
