NAPA International Festival to commence from March 16

The month of March is here and NAPA International Theatre and Music Festival is all set to take place in Karachi, like every year. The festival features performances of several national and international theatre troupes. Scheduled to begin from March 16, 2017, the event will run for 18 days and will come to an end on the 2nd of April.

This year it will welcome the works of artists from Palestine, Germany, Italy, Nepal, England, America and Pakistan. Out of the 24 shows that are supposed to be held, over 15 performances will be from Pakistan while the rest of the acts will be international.

According to the schedule posted on their official social media page, the festival will open with a dance performance, called Hotel Propaganda, by Brigel Gjoka from Germany while the closing act will be a contemporary music performance, Music Must, led by Arsalan Pervaiz.

Other works of art that will be presented throughout the festival include Absolute Manto by Sarmad Khoosat (theatre production), ‘Aaj Rang Hai’ by Ahsan Shabbir (qawwali) and several others.
