Orangi Town is an old area of Karachi and enjoys all amenities except roads and streets. The roads, streets and drain are in a deplorable condition. They are broken, uneven and bumpy. Pedestrians and motorists also dread to walk or drive on the roads because of heaps of garbage and open sewers all along the roads. Overflowing sewers is the most important problem of the area – one which needs to be dealt with immediately. Stagnant water and unhygienic condition are the breeding home for mosquitoes and flies who are the carriers of life-threatening diseases.
The concerned authorities are requested to take measures for the repair and reconstruction of the roads and streets, and to improve the sanitary condition of the area.
