Four terrorists killed in FR Bannu operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed four terrorists during an action in Jani Khel, FR Bannu, Inter Services Public Relations said Thursday.

The ISPR, in a statement, said the operation against terrorists was launched on intelligence sharing. The militants on seeing the security troops opened fire which was retaliated. As a result, four terrorists were killed.

Two security officials including lieutenant Khawar and Naek Shehzad were also martyred in the gunfight, the statement added.

Earlier, ISPR, the military’s media wing, said one terrorist was killed while 12 suspects were apprehended during search operation in Ketch Balochistan as part of ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

Cache of arms and ammunition recovered. One FC soldier sustained injuries due to exchange of fire with terrorists.

Also, Pakistan Rangers Punjab conducted search and sanitization operation in DG Khan, Rajan Pur, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Attock.

Ten suspects were apprehended and cache of ammunition and explosive material recovered.
