Actor Ranbir Kapoor finally scored a hit last year with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil after back-to-back flops like Bombay Velvet and Tamasha. Though Kapoor will next be seen in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos opposite one Katrina Kaif, it is his Sanjay Dutt biopic that has us curious.

With Rajkumar Hirani attached to direct, Kapoor has great expectations from the film. In a recent interview to Filmfare, the actor explained that the film will teach the viewer some things and will showcase flawed human relationships, the emotional father-son dynamic between Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt, and the relationships with the women in his life.

The Barfi actor added, “Sanjay’s lived his life. He owned up to his mistakes, he’s paid the price for it. He’s been through much…his mother (the late Nargis Dutt) passing away before the premiere of his film, drug abuse, being labeled as a terrorist, his failed marriages, the grind of punishment…We are not trying to project Sanjay Dutt in any way. It’s not a propaganda film.”

Kapoor is also working on a superhero film opposite Alia Bhatt which is being directed by Ayan Mukherji and produced by Karan Johar. There are also rumours that Kapoor will be seen hosting the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Whether it happens or not is another story.
