- Has two younger siblings, twins Stephen and Mikaela.
- Was attacked and bitten by a dog when he was 2, which resulted in the scar on his right eyebrow.
- Started playing the piano as a child. Subsequently learned jazz piano.
- Graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 2013, majoring in music production and engineering.
- Started uploading covers on YouTube in 2009.
- Released his first extended play, The Otto Tunes, independently in 2010.
