Tense ties

Relations between India and Pakistan have always remained strained. But, with the BJP government, tension between the two countries has escalated. The sporadic violation of the truce agreement has resulted in the heavy loss of properties and lives of civilians living near the Working Border. Such actions are adding miseries to the poor people. Most recently a passenger bus and ambulance became the victims of unprovoked Indian firing. This action is highly condemnable. The hostile attitude of political parties of both the countries, violation of the cease fire agreement of 2003 and war hysteria will bring nothing more than a large-scale destruction.

War has never been a solution. It is the need of the hour that both countries keep their differences aside and work together for peace and prosperity in the region. Only through peaceful negotiations, the two countries can resolve the Kashmir issue.
