A couple of months ago, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) imposed a ban on 19 active ingredients used in the manufacturing of antibacterial soaps and hand washes. Among these ingredients were two compounds called triclosan and triclocarban that are the most frequently used ingredients in antibacterial soaps. These compounds have been proven to be incredibly toxic and hazardous to the human body.
These ingredients reduce the immunity power of the human body. This is why antibacterial resistance has become a major concern for scientists and clinical professionals all around the world. Products containing the aforementioned compounds are being sold on a large-scale. The government is requested to cease the supply of such products that contain these dangerous compounds.
