This refers to the article, ‘Ancient talk’ (January 1) by Iftekhar A Khan. The writer has rightly pointed out the ordeal and pain that senior citizens face when they visit the National Savings Centres.
Do senior citizens have no right to live? Why are they maltreated thus by the NSC? Has any government official ever bothered to peep inside an NSC to see its working? The finance minister is requested to pay a surprise visit to one of the NSCs to see the miseries senior citizens have been facing.
