MULTAN: Police officials in large numbers were deployed at the city's entry and exit points on Tuesday, as government intensified its crackdown against PTI workers.
According to details, a heavy contingent of police officials was deployed at the entry and exit points of the city. Police officials were checking oncoming vehicles and verifying passengers inside them.
Scores of PTI workers were also arrested from the city, as the government looks to thwart protesters from entering Islamabad and pursuing their 'Islamabad Lockdown' agenda, as party chief Imran Khan had threatened to do so.
Section 144 has been imposed throughout Punjab and police have in the past couple of days, cracked down hard on PTI workers and arrested hundreds.
