LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has served a Rs26.6 billion legal notice on Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan for defaming him through false allegations of corruption.
The legal notice was served by Advocate Supreme Court Mustafa Ramday on the behalf of Shahbaz Sharif.The notice asks Imran Khan to withdraw the allegations and apologise to Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif within 14 days. otherwise the court of law could be moved against him.
The notice stated that the allegations levelled against Shahbaz Sharif were false, unfounded, and malicious and motivated with the intent to malign and harm his reputation.It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan had levelled serious allegations against Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif of receiving kickbacks in development projects through a frontman while talking to the media on October 26.
