PAF, IAF agree to enhance cooperation in professional training

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and ItalianAir Force (IAF) on Friday agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation inprofessional training besides participating in mutually conducted exercises.

The agreement between both the air forces was reached at ameeting held between respective chiefs of the Air Staffs at the Headquarters of IAF, Rome.

Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force Air Chief MarshalSuhail Aman is currently undertaking official visit to Italy on invitation of his Italian counterpart, news release of PAF here stated.

On his arrival at IAF Headquarters, he was received by IAFChief Lieutenant General Enzo Veccirelli and was presented guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of the force.

The PAF chief was given a detailed briefing on the working ofIAF and then he called on Lieutenant General Enzo to discuss matters of mutual interest.

The PAF chief emphasized the importance of mutual training andconduct of operational exercises between the two Air Forces to benefit from each other’s experiences.

The Chief of IAF conceded to the proposal of his Pakistanicounterpart to enhance cooperation in professional training and participation in exercises to be conducted by each nation.
