Treating taxpayers

Around the world, taxpayers are given privilege and honour but in Pakistan they are humiliated in sub-registrar offices. The documentation process is not up to the mark and takes a lot of time to get the documents – relating to tax returns – delivered to the Board of Revenue. Assurances are normally given that documents would be delivered to the board within a week. The scanning fee has also increased from Rs400 to 1,000 but all of this has been futile.

The chief minister is requested to look into the matter and order sub-registrars to deliver documents to the board within one week. In case of delay all concerned should be held responsible and accountable.
