Khan claimed the PTI government had ensured 100 percent attendance of the academic staff in public sector educational institutions. He added that the performance of the Police Department had also improved over the last two years.
He asserted that the people would vote for the PTI in the next general elections on the basis of its performance. “The other political parties need not run election campaigns in the province when the PTI government completes its five year term as our government due to its performance would continue to enjoy public support,” he argued.
Imran Khan said that jobs were given to the educated youth on merit, citing the example of introducing the National Testing Service that conducted transparent tests for different posts in the province. “I have neither meddled nor will interfere in any department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that the PTI-led government was committed to changing the destiny of the province. He said the government would change the system of governance and work for the welfare of the people.
He announced that the Swabi-Mardan and Swabi-Jehangira roads would be made dual carriageway.In his address, Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai, who was the AJIP head, said his party has merged into the PTI as both the political entities had similar agendas.
He said that Imran Khan established the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore while the Tarakai family also carried out various activities for the welfare of the people. “The approach of the two parties to various issues is the same,” added Shahram Tarakai whose father Liaqat Khan Tarakai founded the AJIP and was elected Senator on a PTI ticket some months ago.
“These similarities compelled us to merge our party into the PTI and join the caravan of Imran Khan. We would always stand by him,” Shahram Tarakai pledged.
