According to the Institute of Policy Reforms (IPR), the rate of unemployment in Pakistan is growing. Mostly males aged between 15 and 29 years are searching for jobs. When they do not get jobs they get involved in crime. The youth employment programmes launched by the government have also failed to create employment opportunities.
The government needs to take action to create employment opportunities so that the younger generation is not wasted in crimes and violence.
