In 51 UCs of Mianwali, the PTI won on 21 seats, PML-N 10 and independent candidates 10.
In Sargodha, the PML-N got success on 77 seats, independents 72, PTI 10 and PPP won on 4 seats.
Nine PML-N candidates and three independent candidates were successful in Sahiwal. In Chiniot, 31 independent, six PML-N candidates and two PTI candidate succeeded.
In Khanewal, the PML-N got 23 seats, independent candidates seven and PTI four. In Jehlum, the PML-N got 23 seats, PTI six and independent candidates three.
SINDH: Polling was held in 14 districts of Sindh where the turnout was 50 per cent and for 5,100 seats, 14,000 candidates had filed their nomination papers. The PPP secured 965 seats and after PPP it was Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was the first runner-up with 118 seats, while independent candidate Zulfiqar Mirza swept 14 seats of Badin. PML-N took hold of 88 seats and PTI could manage to win only 8 seats. MQM is now in a position to get its mayor elected in Hyderabad.
Of the unofficial and unconfirmed results of 1644 out of 1833 announced, the PPP has got success on 965 seats, MQM 118, while Pakistan Muslim League-N got 88, Pakistan Muslim League-Functional 22, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf eight, Awami Ittehad 19, Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Bhutto four seats, while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazlur Rehman is successful on three seats.
In Hyderabad, MQM bagged 55 seats out of a total of 96 and in this way is in a position to win the mayor’s election. In Tando Muhammed Khan, PPP is successful on 150 seats and independent candidates are successful on 16 seats. In Noshehro Feroz, PPP is successful on 15 seats, PML-N on six, MQM two, while independent candidates are successful on two seats.
In Tharparkar, PPP has become successful on 31 seats and the PML-N on 13 seats. In Mitiari, PPP won 25 seats, PML-F three, MQM and JUI got one seat apiece and five independent candidates.
In Jamshoro, PPP is successful on 81 seats, MQM on one, independent candidates on two. In Umerkot, PPP is successful on 83 seats, PML-F on eight, PTI on six, while PML-N on one.
In Thatta, PPP is successful on 26 seats out of 40, while Shirazi Group has bagged seven seats. PPP remained successful on 28 seats, PML-N 3 and JUI-F on one seat of Sajawal.
