KARACHI: Former Pakistan skippers Javed Miandad and Shahid Afridi finally buried the hatchet in a meeting at a friend’s residence here on Saturday.

The legendry Miandad had alleged a few days ago that Afridi was a “fixer” and that he himself had caught the all-rounder red-handed when he was Pakistan’s coach a decade ago.

Afridi, in retaliation, had mentioned, as media reported, that money always remained a major issue with Miandad.

In a video message, Miandad said that Afridi was like his younger brother and that he had already finished everything from his side.

He said that Afridi was still unhappy with a few words he said about him but he added that he had taken all his words back.

Afridi had asked Miandad to take his words back or prepare for facing legal action.

Afridi said in the video: “I am happy to have a meeting with you. I never wanted you to say sorry to me because you are my elder brother. If you have taken your words back that’s enough for me and my fans.”
