Boycott politics

Imran Khan’s decision to boycott the joint parliamentary session is not acceptable. He should put his differences aside for the sake of the country’s integrity and security. He should act maturely and wisely for the country’s survival.

If he is concerned for Pakistan he should have attended the assembly session. The Panama leaks issue is not bigger than the country’s sovereignty. If, God forbids, the country’s sovereignty is lost, everything will end.

The recent boycott of the PTI chairman of the joint parliamentary session is not something surprising. The reason behind the boycott is very simple: the egoistic chairman cannot think above himself and has utter disregard for the democratic values. His attitude towards the whole of the political leadership has proved that he is not prepared to accept any other leader as the PM of the country except himself.

It could also be that the positive participation of Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the recent parliamentary meeting and him commending the PM’s speech in the UNGA further provoked Imran Khan to take such a step.
