KARACHI: Head of conservative party Jamiat Ulema-e- Islam (JUI) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said on Tuesdaythat Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has been raising anti-Pakistan slogans for the last twenty-oneyears.
While talking to media at Madrasa Ishat ul Quran, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman said that JUI stronglycondemns the anti-Pakistan slogans raised by MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He added that MQM has always been raising anti-Pakistanslogans but no notice has ever been taken against it.
He further statedthat the ban on MQM chief Altaf Hussain's speeches has been placed by the court;media houses have no role in it at all. Fazal said thatactions must be taken against MQMaccording to the law and constitution of Pakistan.
Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman also suggested that MQM should go to the court instead of protestingon the streets.
