PESHAWAR: The provincial capital on Sunday received rain, which turned the weather pleasant as the citizens celebrated Independence Day with zeal.The downpour brought the mercury down in the evening. The people thronged parks and other public places to enjoy the weather. A large number of children tagged along with parents to visit parks. Many commented that the rain would bring an end to the hot and humid weather.
