QUETTA: Balochistan CM Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said on Sunday that the government would not leave the fight against militants unfinished.
Speaking at an Independence Day event held at the Quaid-e-Azam Residency at Ziarat, Zehri said that every part of Balochistan was celebrating Independence Day but with simplicity. Zehri also said that he could feel the pain of the relatives of the Quetta blast victims.
"I myself happen to be the son, father and uncle of martyrs," he said. "We will not leave this fight unfinished because if we do, it would be treachery with the blood of our martyrs," he added.
Sanaullah Zehri said that those who were seeking refuge in the mountains should join hands with the government. He urged them to come forward under the Pakistani constitution and take part in politics.
"If people provide them with the mandate, we will accept it and sit in the opposition," he claimed.
Zehri said that Balochistan had affiliated itself with Pakistan by choice and that no one could impose his/her ideology on gunpoint. The Balochistan CM said that it was shameful how some people claimed they were freedom fighters when in reality they had sold out for money.
"Mr Modi, there is a huge difference between Kashmir and Balochistan," he said. "Everyone wants freedom in Kashmir unanimously while not even one percent of the people in Balochistan support foreign powers," he said.
