Miley Cyrus performed at the iconic Hollywood Bowl where she appreciated her fans
Miley Cyrus has found a healthy work-life "balance."
The 33-year-old pop star previously expressed doubts over whether she would return to performing live, but Miley took to the stage at Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Bowl on Friday and spoke about her new-found work-life balance.
Miley, who has also enjoyed success as an actress, told her fans, "For me, performance can’t be everything, because the curtain closes and the lights go down and I have to go back home and be happy with who I am. And I really appreciate you all honouring that and respecting and celebrating and supporting and encouraging me finding this balance in my life where I can really have everything that I ever wanted."
The Wrecking Ball singer previously explained that it's "really hard to maintain sobriety" while touring.
The pop star hasn’t paired an album with live shows since her Bangerz Tour back in 2014, and Miley revealed that she had no intention of hitting the road anytime soon, having struggled in the past.
During an appearance on Good Morning America, Miley, who quit using marijuana in 2017, explained, "It’s really hard to maintain sobriety when you’re on the road, which is kind of a pillar of stability in my life. None of this that I create would even be possible without the way I think about things."
Additionally, Miley thinks there's an insufficient "infrastructure" for touring artists.
The Flowers hitmaker explained, "I do have the physical ability. I have the opportunities to tour, I wish I had the desire, but I don’t. I also don’t think that there’s an infrastructure that supports artists."
However, Miley acknowledged that touring has negatively impacted her mental health in the past saying, "I do think it’s really hard to keep mental wellness."
