“It’s about protecting boundaries, William will one day be king"

A royal expert has revealed that Tom Cruise’s increasingly 'cozy relationship' with Princess of Wales Kate Middleton has left the palace concerned, and its not about romance.

Rob Shuter, citing the royal insiders, has claimed that the Top Gun: Maverick star has become increasingly effusive about Catherine following the London premiere of Digger.

At the event, Tom took Kate Middleton’s hand and helped guide her down the steps. The Hollywood superstar has also publicly praised the Princess and Prince William as “amazing people.”

However, the royal expert claimed the palace concern is not about romance, its about Scientology.

In his latest piece for Naughty But Nice substack, the expert said the actor’s longstanding association with Scientology makes his growing access to Britain’s future king and queen particularly sensitive.

“Nobody is worried Catherine is going to run off with Tom Cruise,” a palace source said and added “They’re worried about Scientology getting anywhere near the future king and queen. That is a completely different matter.”

Rob explains the monarchy’s religious role makes the optics especially delicate. King Charles is Supreme Governor of the Church of England, while William is heir to the throne.

The royal source went on saying, “This isn’t about Catherine joining anything.

“It’s about protecting boundaries. William will one day be king, with a formal role in the Church of England. Tom isn’t simply another Hollywood friend. Some people think this relationship is getting too close for comfort.”
