Tom Brady’s biographer calls Bridget Moynahan breakup story 'fiction'

The author who has written Tom Brady’s biography has called the famous story of the NFL star’s breakup with ex Bridget Moynahan “fictional.”

Brady: An American Story and the Price of Greatness’s author, Lars Anderson, shared a detailed timeline of Brady’s and Bridget’s breakup and her pregnancy and how it coincides with Brady relationship with supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Lars told US Weekly that after doing “the math,” the timeline “barely works in Tom’s favor.”

Tom and Bridget ended their nearly three-year relationship in December 2006.

The actress unveiled her pregnancy to Tom in February 2007, and the athlete at the time had already begun dating Gisele and had reportedly been with her for about two months.

Tom had been accused of leaving his pregnant girlfriend for his high-profile relationship with Gisele, but Lars argues that was not what happened.

According to an excerpt from his book, Brady went on his first date with Bündchen in December 2006. A certified obstetrics nurse told Anderson that Moynahan’s date of conception would have been in late November 2006, around two weeks before Brady first went out with Bündchen.

Anderson writes that Moynahan was “heartbroken” after the breakup. Two months into Brady’s relationship with Bündchen, Moynahan called him while he was on vacation in Paris with the model.

The news that Moynahan was three months pregnant created “a global media firestorm,” turning their private situation into public news.

According to the book, Bündchen “didn’t know what to do with the news” and wondered whether she should encourage Brady to return to Moynahan and raise their family.

Ultimately, Anderson writes, “the most famous supermodel in the world chose to stay with Brady as he was about to become the father to another woman’s child.”
