‘Saved by the Bell’ actor Dennis Haskins breathes his last
The actor was famous for playing Principal Belding on ‘Saved by the Bell’ and ‘Saved by the Bell: The New Class’
Dennis Haskins, beloved Tennessee-born actor, has died on Monday at the age of 75.
The demise of the Saved by the Bell actor was announced by his agent, Jay Schecher, who called it a “tragic loss.”
“Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis loved him even more. He was a great person, and he loved I mean absolutely LOVED his fans,” Dennis spokesperson said in a statement, via People.
“He always had time for them, no matter what. He was my client and dear friend for over 20 years, and I will miss him terribly. I’m heartbroken,” Jay added.
However, Dennis’s cause of death has not been revealed yet.
In Saved by the Bell, which ran for four seasons till 1993, Dennis played the role of Principal Belding and later reprised the character in the follow-up, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, which ran from 1993 to 2000.
Dennis also made a surprise cameo as Belding in a Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon sketch.
Other notable projects Dennis starred in include A Million Ways to Die in the West, Mad Men, Hot in Cleveland and New Girl.
