Dolly Parton's multimillion fortune divides family after her death

Dolly Parton passed away on August 25 at the age of 80 and now her family is reportedly at war over her multimillion fortune.

As the legendary singer grew up in a two-room cabin with her 11 siblings, she made it her mission to ensure that her family would be taken care of financially after she rose to fame.

She reportedly vowed to have a will with crystal-clear instructions on exactly what to do with her fortune. "Dolly was very upset by the fighting that went on in her family," an insider told Radar Online referring to 2001 when Parton's relative went to court for how to manage their mother's care and 1 million dollar assets.

Adding, "It's a big reason why she was so meticulous in organizing her estate and where everything would go prior to her passing."

However, sources shared that now following her death, Parton's siblings and dozens of nieces and nephews and their children are feuding over her estate. "She dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' so there would be no fighting. Or so she hoped."

It is pertinent to mention that Dolly Parton had employed several of her relatives at her Pigean Forge themed park, Dollywood and music and book projects. She is said to be the glue that held Parton family together.
