Benjamin Satterley dies at 40 after final match: What we know about Pac’s cause of death
Pac participated in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) “All Out” event at an arena in Chicago on Saturday evening
British wrestler Benjamin Satterley alias Pac took his last breath at the age of 40 as confirmed by his representatives.
The most shocking thing about Satterley’s death is that the heartbreaking announcement came after he participated in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) “All Out” event at an arena in Chicago on Saturday evening.
At this event, he challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship. Andrade retained the title after countering Pac’s Brutalizer submission attempt into a pin.
AEW announced the passing of Pac on Sunday night in a statement, “AEW is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac.”
“A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organisations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.”
Speaking about his cause of death, there is a lot of ambiguity as the representative did not disclose any possible reason of death or circumstance that could lead to his sudden demise.
However, the news of his death drew massive responses and tributes from the fans.
Tony Khan, President and CEO of All Elite Wrestling, paid tribute on X, “Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency and dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue. May Ben rest in peace.”
World Wrestling Council (CMLL) also honoured Pac with heart-warming words, “CMLL deeply regrets the passing of PAC (Benjamin Satterley, 1986–2026).We will remember his extraordinary professionalism, dedication, and respect in every appearance in Mexico.”
“Our condolences to his family, friends, and the entire AEW community. Rest in peace.”
Since joining AEW in 2019, Satterley has built an impressive legacy, winning multiple championships and leaving his mark in some of the promotion's most iconic matches, as noted by AEW.
He also held multiple AEW Championships and as per the organisation he had competed in “some of the most memorable matches in AEW history.”
Prior to joining AEW, he also participated in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico.
