OpenAI brings plugin to live voice to work in ChatGPT
ChatGPT added plugin support to live voice experience across web, iOS and Android
In a recent update, OpenAI added plugin support to the Live voice experiences in ChatGPT across iOS and Android and brought voice into ChatGPT work on the web.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT voice primarily helps document the mechanics. Users can now have work draft documents, presentations and spreadsheets on connected applications.
Advanced is primarily the previous real-time voice experience and keeps supported mobile capabilities such as video and screen sharing. OpenAI introduced GPT Live-1 in ChatGPT Voice for paid users and GPT-Live 1 mini for free users and the company said it can now listen and speak at the same time so that interruptions feel more natural.
The company also introduced ChatGPT work for managing multi-step work that analyzes, researches information and produces spreadsheets, reports rolling out on web and mobile. OpenAI let voice draw on GPT-5.6 or GPT-Astra when it needs to search through harder questions and ending the practice of switching plans of Pro users to GPT-Livi mini after they mainly reached a voice limit.
