Why did Patrick Clancy's marriage 'end so quickly'?

Patrick Clancy, though, is on record as having forgiven Lindsay Clancy for killing their three children.

But he has filed for divorce from her roughly a year after the devastating incident.

Now, he has married again.

On this, Sara Haines, one of the panelists on The View, lamented that he didn't stay married to Lindsay despite forgiving her.

“He talks about forgiving her, but how did the marital love end so quickly?" she asked.

"I would hope my husband wouldn’t move right along," the commentator said.

Meanwhile, in a latest interview with 60 Minutes, Patrick opened up about his grief of losing his children.

Most importantly, he reflected on whether accountability can happen when the person is struggling with mental-health illness.

In the case of Lindsay, Patrick said that he recognizes her mental health challenges, yet it does not necessarily mean, as Patrick said, "no accountability."

“I think we can find a compassionate way to deal with these tragedies, and that doesn’t mean no accountability,” he stated.

He shared, “It just means that we recognise the suffering and the stigma, and we try to find a way to prevent this from happening in the future.”

“That’s always how I’ve looked at it,” Patrick noted.

Meanwhile, Lindsay's next hearing will take place on Sept. 29.
