Netflix announces 'A Man on the Inside' will end with season 3

While season three of the Netflix comedy A Man on the Inside is in production, Netflix has announced it will be the final season.

Though the series has not yet been axed, Variety reports that the creators have decided to bring the story to an end.

In a statement, creator Mike Schur said, “This series began with a retiree taking a chance at a new life. By answering a help wanted ad and venturing out into the world, Charles Nieuwendyk made his world bigger and proved that life only slows down if you let it."

“We are thrilled to be able to conclude his journey with one final chapter, as embodied by the great Ted Danson, who I am legally required to refer to as a ‘National Treasure."

The cast of season three includes Ted Danson, returning along with Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, Stephanie Beatriz, Eugene Cordero, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sally Struthers, and Mary Steenburgen.

The season also adds eight guest stars: Annette O’Toole, Bernadette Peters, Christopher McDonald, Diedrich Bader, Jessica St Clair, Nick Offerman, Rachel Dratch, and Stephen Root.
