Oscar nominated editor Elliot Graham breathes his last at 50
The film editor received Oscar nomination for his work in biopic, Milk
Oscar nominated film editor, Elliot Graham, passed away tragically at the age of 50.
The notable film cutter, who edited films like Captain Marvel, Steve Jobs, and No Time to Die, took away his own life on Saturday in Los Angeles, according to the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner.
Elliot's Oscar nomination came for his work in biopic Milk, released in 2008, which tells the real life story of Harvey Milk, who was the very first gay man who openly run an election campaign and become first one to be ever elected in public office in California.
The film got eight Oscar nominations out of which it won best actor and original screenplay awards. Sean Penn played Harvey Milk's role.
Milk producer Dan Jinks gushed over Elliot's work in the film while saying on Facebook, that his movie “wouldn’t have come together in the way it did without [his] amazing work.”
The Californian born editor won a BAFTA award for editing the James Bond film No Time to Die.
He had also lended his services as a film producer on the 2018 FX series Trust.
His other notable work as an editor for films include Beasts of No Nation, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and I Am Michael.
